Homemade ice cream!!

I found a fun and easy recipe to make homemade ice cream. The girls loved shaking the bags and putting Oreos on the ice cream when they were finished. They called it their own Oreo blizzard...lol!

I had to post these two pictures of Kynle and Carra because it was too cute. Kynle was laying there trying to sleep and Carra kept pulling her pacifer out of her mouth! This is the reason why these two are already sleeping in their own beds. They kept waking each other up in the middle of the night and I was not getting any sleep! Now that they are sleeping in their own beds and not bothering each other, they are sleeping about 5 hours in between feedings!

Weekly Update

Kynle and Carra
Kynle and Carra had no idea that they were even camping...lol. Danny, Carra, Kynle, and I just stayed for a few hours and went back home. No way was I camping with two 6 week old babies!

It has been a very busy week! This weekend the big girls went camping with Nana and Papa, and we had my Nanny Casey's family renioun. Kasey and Janna had a blast staying in Nana and Papa's mini home. That is what the girls call their camping trailer! Tuesday the girls and I went to my school to watch the Kindergarten program and of course show off the girls!! Wednesday, we went to Nana and Mimi's school so that they could show off the girls. After we left the school, Nana and I took the girls to Abilene because Kasey had to get her allergy shot.

A day out with the big girls!

Friday we took Kasey and Janna to the Ft.Worth Zoo. Kasey had to go and see her allergy specialist to get her new medicine and shot...which she does not like at all. Danny and I wanted to spend time with just the big girls, so we took them to the zoo after her appointment. We had a great time with the girls and of course they had a great time at the zoo!

My checkup

I went to my 6 weeks checkup...I can't believe that the little girls are already 6 weeks old. Anyways here is a picture with the girls and my doctor who delivered both sets of girls!

Kasey, Kynle, Dr. Tadvick, Carra, Janna
Janna didn't want to get in the picture!

One week checkup

We went for the girls one week checkup and they are doing great! Carra weighed 5.11 and Kynle weighed 5.7. They are both above their birth weight!! After the doctors appointment we had to feed the little girls and the big girls were also hungry..since we were in the doctors office for 2 hours!! We stopped at a restaurant and oh my gosh . We had tons of questions when we went out in public with Kasey and Janna, but when you go out in public with TWO sets of twins it is unbelievable the crazy people who come and ask tons of questions!!

Easter

Since we were in the hospital on Easter, the Easter bunny had to come to Hendrick and bring the big girls their Easter baskets. The big girls got their Easter baskets and got to do an Easter Egg Hunt outside in front of the hospital! They loved it!

Good Friday

On the morning of Good Friday , Dr. Tadvick came in and decided that I was going to go ahead and have my c-section at 10:00. I was dilated, contracting every 3 minutes, and he was worried that I was about to go into labor...and I did not want that!! We went into the operating room and I had the most wonderful nurse. She was the same nurse that was wonderful when Kasey and Janna were in the NICU..I was very excited and knew that Carra and Kynle would be well taken care of! It was a very good thing that I did not go into labor, Carra was wrapped around the cord twice. Carra was born at 10:55 a.m and was 4.14 pounds and 18 inches long. Two minutes later, after Dr. Tadvick unwrapped Carra, Kynle was delivered at 10:57 a.m and was 5.7 pounds and was 18.5 inches long. They did not have to go to the NICU and was placed on oxygen for just a few minutes. A completely different situation than when Kasey and Janna were born. I went into recovery, and when the nurses knew that the girls could breath on their own and was doing well they brought the girls to me! We had lots of visitors that afternoon and everyone got to hold Carra and Kynle the day they were born. It was a Good Friday!!

Last Doctor's Appointment Thursday April 9th

On Thursday, April 9, 2009 we went in for my last sonogram and check-up before Carra and Kynle were born. Well, I was having contractions during the sonogram...I wasn't feeling anything so I wasn't worried. Dr. Maberry( at risk doctor) didn't seemed to worried either. I went over to Dr. Tadvick's office ( delivery doctor) and I didn't mention my contractions to him because he was on his way to the hospital to deliver another baby. He said everything looked good, see you Monday morning...he didn't know I was contracting!! He left and we got ready to leave...at least I thought. Danny got mad at me for not telling the doctor that I was contracting, so I told the nurse. At first she didn't seemed concerned, she said she would let him know. We were getting in the car and the nurse ran out to the parking lot and told us not to leave that she realized the I lived an hour away. So we went to go eat and the nurse called me while we were eating. Dr. Tadvick wanted me to come back. I went back to the doctor and was dilated. He put me on the monitor and I was having contractions every 5 minutes!! While I was on the monitor Danny had Kasey and Janna across the street at their doctors. Kasey had to have her allergy shot and Janna had an ear infection. Dr. Tadvick put me in the hospital after I had to wait for Danny and the girls to get back to my doctors office...lol! I went into the hospital and they monitored me all night. I was having contractions every 5 minutes all night.

Coming Home!!

We came home three days after the girls were born. Not what I was used to...we didn't get to take Kasey and Janna home until they were 3 weeks old, so I was a little worried coming home 3 days old!
